Tissue Optics Lab

Welcome to the Tissue Optics Lab

Research in the Tissue Optics Lab is an interdisciplinary effort. Students from biomedical engineering, other engineering disciplines, life sciences and optical sciences currently work in the lab building new imaging devices, testing new applications, and performing signal and image analysis. The common goal of all the lab's research: to improve healthcare through the novel use of light.

Our research topics:

Optical coherence tomography
Fluorescence spectroscopy
Laser coagulation of blood

Current and past funding is provided by:

National Institutes of Health
National Science Foundation
Department of Defense
Industrial Contracts
